
Overview
One Stop Event Rentals is currently seeking a Hardgoods Supervisor. This role focuses on the meticulous management and quality control of all rental hardgoods. The Hardgoods Supervisor will be responsible for inspecting, cleaning, maintaining, and organizing a wide range of rental items, including tables, chairs, staging, and other event equipment. This position is crucial for guaranteeing that all rental items are in pristine condition and fully functional for every event. The Hardgoods Supervisor will also be responsible for inventory management, identifying items in need of repair or replacement, and maintaining a high level of organization within the hardgoods section of the warehouse. Duties
- Lead and oversee all warehouse operations and personnel in assigned departments, ensuring a safe, efficient, and positive work environment.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventories of all hard goods and materials stored within designated warehouse spaces.
- Creates and maintains standard operating procedures for warehouse foreman and staff assigned to them.
- Maintains a clean and neat workspace.
- Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and performance feedback to warehouse staff and foremen.
- Schedules staff for daily and weekly tasks
- Maintains thorough knowledge of warehouse management principles, inventory management practices, and standard safety protocols to ensure a first-rate warehouse operation
- Supervises the designated offsite warehouse locations and personnel; maintains a thorough awareness of activities at satellite warehouses if applicable
- Works with the Facilities & Equipment Manager to ensure proper storage and maintenance of serviceable assets
- Promotes a culture of warehouse safety and provides a constant example of safe conduct according to One Stop Event Rentals policies
- Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor when interacting with customers, team members, and vendors.
- Proficient in the POR (Point of Rental) System
- Assists in contract scheduling in designated departments as needed
- Creates an effective and efficient use of rental trucks, trailers and necessary equipment used daily for any given job if applicable
- Maintains all records in the warehouses including MSDS sheets, safety signs, procedures, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by the Management Staff
Qualifications:
Must be able to supervise employees. Due to seasonal changes in our volume of business, this position requires flexibility and the willingness to assist in other areas of One Stop Event Rentals operations not specifically outlined in this document. Must be able to maintain a professional appearance and basic hygiene standards during work hours. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to meet our vehicle operator insurance requirements, as well as be able and willing to drive large tow-behind trailer units. Dependability and timeliness are necessary for success in this position.
