This entry-level position supports all aspects of Wallace Events’ Laundry department.  Employees in this position perform duties related to receiving and washing soiled linens and fulfilling orders for our linens rental service. 

• Operates commercial washing machines with a focus on safety, protecting company property, and conserving supplies
• Operates commercial dryer machines with a focus on safety, protecting company property, and conserving energy 
• Operates commercial iron with a focus on safety, protecting company property, and producing a professionally cleaned and presentable item for rental purposes 
• Ensures timely and efficient “turnover” of rental products between use, an ongoing task throughout the day
• Pulls inventory to fulfill contracts and loads delivery trucks, repeating the process throughout the day
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of all department operations and equipment to ensure optimal operational abilities 
• Knows where to find the MSDS sheet book and basic first aid for chemical exposure to all relevant cleaning chemicals used by the department 
• Supports safety and equipment maintenance at all times 
• Maintains a professional and positive attitude at all times while working with customers and crewmembers
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Laundry Foreman or the Soft Goods Warehouse Manager 

This position typically works a five- or six-day work week (50 – 60 hours) in the summer and a four-day workweek (30 – 40 hours) in the winter. Evening and weekend hours are required, and 10+ hour days may be expected, especially on event days.

Knowledge of commercial laundry operations and equipment is a plus. Must maintain a presentable appearance and basic hygiene at all times during working hours. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 

$18-$22 per hour based on experience
